Trinamool Congress MPs in Rajya Sabha snatched from the hands of Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav a leaflet of his written statement, tore it and blew it part by part towards the seat. Opposition MPs were creating a ruckus over the Pegasus spying scandal. Bharatiya Janata Party President JP Nadda has condemned this behavior. The BJP chief said that the way Trinamool MPs treated Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav today, it is against democratic values and condemnable. TMC has a long history of working against the dignity of Parliament. Nadda said that making noise, tearing papers is their culture. BJP opposes it.

It is worth noting that today IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had started speaking in Parliament that the entire opposition, including the Trinamool Congress MPs, started making noise. Meanwhile, TMC MP Shantunu Sen stopped Ashwini Vaishnav from answering. He snatched the paper sheet of the written statement from him and after that a ruckus started in the Rajya Sabha. Angered by this act of TMC MP, BJP MPs also went ahead. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also became very angry. These MPs also consistently ignored the appeal of the Deputy Speaker. Alam was that TMC MP Shantunu Sen snatched the paper from the hands of the IT Minister and tore it up and threw it towards the Deputy Speaker.
