BJP demands cancellation of Mukul Roy’s PAC nomination, Mamta said- Speaker will take final decision

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said anyone can file nomination for the Public Accounts Committee and Mukul Roy, who has filed nomination, is a member of the BJP.

Chief Minister Banerjee said that anyone can file nomination but the Speaker of the House has to take the final decision. The chief minister said in the secretariat that anyone can file a nomination for the Public Accounts Committee and Mukul Roy, who has filed the nomination, is a member of the BJP.

Roy’s candidature rejected

The BJP requested that Mukul Roy’s candidature should be rejected. The BJP legislature party has not proposed his name and since Roy won the election on a BJP ticket, the Trinamool Congress cannot enroll him.

Let us tell you that 20 MLAs including Mukul Roy have filed nominations for the membership of Public Accounts Committee (PAC). in which Trinamool Congress There are 14 MLAs of K and 6 of BJP. There is news in the political circles that Mukul Roy may be made the chairman of the committee.

Mukul Roy had contested the assembly elections from Krishnanagar North on a BJP ticket and also won. However, he later joined the Trinamool Congress. But he did not resign from the membership of the assembly nor was he disqualified under the anti-defection law. BJP says that his membership should be cancelled.
