Bhopal. Even before the start of Shravan month in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, the district administration has banned the Kavad Yatra. In-charge collector Narendra Suryavanshi has issued an order under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, banning the Kavad Yatra in the state border of the district during the month of Shravan.

Let us tell you that the month of Sawan will start from July 25. After this, the month of Sawan will continue till August 22. At the same time, Lord Shiva is specially worshiped in the month of Sawan. However, the state government has banned processions and religious visits. And therefore following the guidelines of the state government, Kavad Yatra has not been allowed.

In fact, the ride of Mahakal is taken out on all Mondays of Sawan and the Monday that comes before the new moon of Bhadau month. On a large scale, the ride of King Mahakal is taken out from the Mahakal temple. A large number of devotees reach Ujjain to attend it.
