After 51,667 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in India in a day, the number of infected in the country increased to 3,01,34,445. At the same time, the weekly rate of samples coming infected has come down to three percent.

At the same time, the weekly rate of samples coming infected has come down to three percent. According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Friday, the death toll in the country rose to 3,93,310 after 1,329 more people died of infection. The number of patients under treatment has also come down to 6,12,868, which is 2.03 percent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, the total number of cases under treatment has come down by 14,189.

The number of people who became infection free was more than the new cases of infection for the 43rd consecutive day. So far, a total of 2,91,28,267 people have become infection free in the country. According to the ministry, the death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.31 percent. The national recovery rate of patients increased to 96.66 percent, while the weekly rate of samples coming infected has also come down to three percent. The daily rate of samples coming infected is 2.98 percent. It is less than five per cent for the last 18 days. According to the data released by the ministry at 7 am, 60.73 lakh people were vaccinated against Kovid-19 in the last 24 hours in India. So far, a total of 30.79 crore doses of the vaccine have been given to the people.

According to the data, a total of 39,95,68,448 samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far, out of which 17,35,781 samples were tested on Thursday. The number of infected people in the country had crossed 20 lakh on August 7 last year, 30 lakh on August 23 and more than 40 lakh on September 5. At the same time, the total cases of infection crossed 50 lakhs on 16th September, 60 lakhs on 28th September, 70 lakhs on 11th October, 80 lakhs on 29th October, 90 lakhs on 20th November. In the country, these cases crossed one crore on December 19, crossed two crore on May 4 and crossed three crore on June 23.
