Significantly, 71-year-old Saeed, convicted in the terrorism financing case, is serving his sentence in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail. The Saeed-led Jamaat-ud-Dawa is a covert organization of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, which is responsible for the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

According to Pakistani TV channel Geo, Lahore Police is trying to hide the fact that Hafiz Saeed’s house was targeted and attacked. According to Pakistani newspaper Dawn, the glass of Hafiz Saeed’s house was broken in this horrific explosion and the walls have also suffered a lot. Lahore Police said that the attack was done by targeting the police picket built there.

Several policemen have also been injured in this attack, who were engaged in protecting Hafiz’s house. So far three people have died and 24 others have been injured in this horrific attack. On the other hand, after the blast, now Hafiz Saeed’s house has been converted into a fort. Vehicles plying in the entire Johor Town area are being checked. Special investigation has been ordered for all the suspicious people and unidentified items. Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has sought a report on the entire matter. However, no organization has claimed responsibility for the blast so far. Punjab Police chief Inam Ghani said the incident could have caused a “big loss” had there not been a police post outside the eminent’s residence.
